The wildlife sanctuary is strategically located along the marine drive road from Puri to Konark, spread across the coastline. The property is surrounded by the coastal forest and in close proximity to the blue sea. Boating and Local Hikes : The place is near the sea. There are several backwater waterbody and estuaries near it. Boating can be arranged in small paddled boats in these places. The confluence point of the River Nuanai is near this property. A hike through the casuarina forests to that place is a memorable experience in the morning.
Wildlife and Bird-Watching : The property is a few km away from the main Puri town. As there is less disturbance, fishing birds like kingfisher, sea-gulls and other species like a shrike, babblers are seen. Migratory bird flocks often visit this area before flying to Chilika or Manglajodi.
Sports and Games : Beaches in front of the property is not very crowded. It is a perfect place to relax, sunbathe or play games like volleyball, Badminton, etc. with no interruption and ruckus.
Stargazing : From the pristine beaches, stargazing enthusiasts can enjoy a lot, without any light pollution causing trouble.
Konark Sun Temple : Konark houses a massive temple dedicated to the Sun God, from the thirteenth century. It is an architectural marvel of India and a major tourist attraction. The place is 31 km away from the nature camp. The astronomical calculation-inspired works, functioning sundials and intrinsic decorations enchant the tourists and scientists alike.
Sri Jagannath Temple: The Shree Jagannath Temple an important pilgrimage destination and one of the ‘Char Dham’ pilgrimage sites of India. It is 11 km away from the property. The present temple was rebuilt in the 10th century. The Puri temple is famous for its annual RathaYatra, or chariot festival, which brings millions of devotees from across the world.
Chandrabhaga Beach : This beach is 27 km from the Nature camp. It is significant with cultural, religious and environmental aspects. During the seventh day of Magha at the beach for seven days a fair is held in honor of the sun god. The beach holds great importance in the cultural and traditional identity of Orissa. On World Environment Day in 2018, Chandrabhaga beach achieved the distinction of being Asia’s first beach to get a Blue Flag Certification.
Baliharachandi : It is famous for Maa Bali Harachandi Temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. The temple faces east and is said to protect the fishermen since the Goddess is the God of navigation in water. The temple is 37 km away from the property. Unlike Puri’sSwargodar Beach, the temple’s adjacent beach is free from crowds.
Satpada : This place is 62 km away from the property. It is located at the meeting point of Chilika Lake and Bay of Bengal. It is the habitat of the famous Irrawaddy dolphins. There is an arrangement for canoeing, boating and chances of birding also. In the nearby Nalabana bird sanctuary, migratory birds visit every year.

Rail : The nearest rail-station is Puri Jn. From there it is nearly 9 km away which takes 30 minutes to reach by car.
Air : The nearest airport is Bhubaneswar (Biju Patnaik International Airport), 63km away and takes a car 1 hour 30 minutes to reach the place.
Road : From Kolkata, the property is approximately 502 km away and it takes around 10 hours via Kharagpur-Balasore-Bhadrak.
Best Time to Visit:
The place can be visited in the summer and winter months. The climate is pleasant in these times. In winter, sunbath on the beach is a great experience. In monsoon, the sea rises and damages the road. The tourists should avoid this season.
