Sea-beach and local tour:  The seashore is the main attraction here, without any doubt. Just on the other side of the road, the sea is lined by a clean beach here. It is your personal swimming pool without a boundary. You can go for a walk in the early morning or late afternoon, without any disturbance. A calm connection with nature will refresh your body and soul. Also, the Dhaudia river Mohona is very close. You can visit the place in the morning and buy fresh fish from the returning fishermen.

Temple: When in Puri, you have to visit the holy Temple of Lord Jagannath. It is one of the most revered temples to the Hindus. Wonder at the marvellous architecture and intricate design on the temple wall. Also, do not miss the Prasad from the Anandabazar. It is one of the most delicious meal you will ever have. Chilika Lake: When in Puri, you have to visit Chilika Lake. It is a brackish lagoon in the southern part of Odisha, bordering the sea. It is formed at the mouth of the Daya river. You can enter Chilika by several points. The place is famous for its population of Irrawaddy dolphins, the only known lagoon habitat for them in India. You can visit them jumping up and down in the water when you go for a boat ride in the lake. The rich fish population makes it a popular destination for migratory birds in winter too.

Konarak sun-temples: One of the major sun temples in India, the Konarak temple was built in the 13th century. It is another UNESCO World Heritage site in India. You will love the geometrical patterns and carved wheels used to serve as sundials. The architecture of the temple is breathtaking. It was known as the black pagoda for its dark colour. Sailors used it as a landmark for sea navigation.

Raghunathpur: It is one of the renowned heritage craft villages in Odisha. If you love to see the making of handicraft items, do visit the place. It is famous for the master Pattachitra painters It is an art form that dates back to 5 BC in Odisha. You can see the resident artisans busy making some great artworks throughout the day. Rail: The nearest rail station is Puri Jn. From there it is 2.5 km away which takes just 10 minutes to reach by car.

Air: The nearest airport is Bhubaneswar, 60 km away and takes a car 1 hours 20 minutes to reach the place.

Road:  From Kolkata, the property is approximately 500 km away and it takes more than 11 hours to reach by NH16.


Best Time To Visit:

As Puri is a town on the sea, the temperature stays moderate throughout the year. In summer, the morning and afternoon breeze makes it a beautiful experience. However, you cannot visit all of the local attractions for the high temperature. Winter is soothing in here. November to March is a great time to visit Puri. Monsoon offers an amazing scene, and it brings fewer visitor. Also, you can visit Puri during Rath Yatra, the major festival in Puri. However, you have to book well in advance if you plan to visit then. The whole Puri remains overbooked at that time.
