How to Reach 

Trains from Howrah and Santragachi are available till Purulia like Rupasi Bangla, Lalmati Express, HWH – Purulia etc. From Purulia Station, one can hire a car and reach Baradi. Purulia Railway station to Baradi is nearly 45kms which takes 1.30hr and is traveled through the Ranchi road via Begunkodar.  Alternatively, you can also travel to Baradi by availing a train from Kolkata’s Howrah Station to Jharkhand’s Muri Station. From Muri Station, Baradi is situated at a distance of 35 kilometers. You can also reach Baradi from Jhalda Station. Via road one can take NH19 and NH419 or NH314.

Best Time to Visit

Purulia is a place of extreme weather. Chilled winters with night temperature close to 2-3 degree, while a red hot summer with a temperature close to 45 degrees.  In late March, the whole region of Baradi is painted red with the blooming of Palash (Flame of the Forest) Flowers. But Monsoon brings magic on the red soil and all the water bodies celebrate every shower of rain.
