Dooars – Sisamara Wild Hut

Real thrill of Dooars forest awaits here | adventurous long weekend trip

Any adventure story would be incomplete without meandering rivers alongside dense thick forest which are home to wild animals. While it may appear to be straight out of a Brazilian storybook, the fact of the matter is we are talking about a place which is as close to Kolkata as may be.

The Sisamara River and the Jaldapara forest range make Sisamara Wild Hut one such place which happens to provide all of what young couples, love souls, nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts truly and truly seek for. Being away from the hustle and bustle of urban life only adds to the tranquility that the place has to offer.

The Hut

As cozy as it may get, the rooms are so well placed that one may think twice before leaving the scenic beauty that it has to offer. The two rooms have a glass casement and a balcony that overlooks the thick dense forests which are home to the one horned rhinoceros. One cannot and should rule out any chance of spotting a few wild animals lost in the wilderness coming to the banks of the river to quench the thirst – all this not from some watch tower but from the very comfort of one’s own bed!

The location of the hut is so dramatically legal where one would legally be staying in a village land without disturbing the forest but yet would be taking some really good photographic shots of wildlife activities that happen so naturally on the other side of the river, above all just from the window of the hut.

Undoubtedly, one would be submerged with the wilderness and adventure that the resort has to offer, yet the location, with one’s beloved no one around, relaxing beside the quietly flowing Sisamara river through the serenade of chirping of aerial fauna and rustling sound of leaves coming from the forests with the sudden gust of wind, makes one oblivious of every type of adventure activity that one would otherwise seek.
