Wooden Interior, fireplace, tea tasting, conifer trees and cloud-hidden Darjeeling Tea Garden – Sukhia Pokhari Tea Estate a small heaven

I can’t speak for everybody, but you can’t deny that most of us have dreamt of living in a colonial cottage, experiencing the heritage and richness at least once in our lifetime. Most of us have sighed at the sight of a classic mid-18th century cottage and wished it were us living in that majestic piece of architecture. Will you be amazed if we tell you that there is a place where you can taste the legacy of an 18th-century British bungalow and the beauty of nature- at the very same place? Let me tell you about the tea garden at Sukhiapokhari. It is a beautiful, well-maintained tea garden with exceptional views of the Kanchenjunga Mountain Range. It is only 18 km from Darjeeling, which makes it easy to navigate.

Accommodation at Sukhia Pokhari Tea Estate

If you are a tea lover, you already know that this place is famous for white Oolong Tea. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the heritage and luxury I was talking about. The Sukhiapokhri Tea Estate has an amazing, high-quality, luxurious destination for you. Sukhia Pokhari Tea Estate is the best staying option in the area if you are looking for heritage and luxury 5000ft above sea level. The Bungalow was made in 1850. It is exceptionally well-maintained. The huge unscaled rooms, beautiful seating areas having the essence of British sophistication, and supreme location – are just too hard to let go of. The resort is famous for its exceptional dishes, served hot right into your plate. The bonus is the fireplaces in these rooms, which are really cinematic.

Local Experience at Sukhia Pokhari Tea Esatate

The best part about this place is you can actively take a tour to experience the entire tea-making process. You can taste different kinds of tea, learn about the rich heritage of the estate, and also engage with tea plantation workers to discuss their colorful experiences here.
