Shimla originally used to be the summer capital of the East India Company. After India achieved independence, Shimla was declared the capital of Himachal Pradesh. Shimla has been blessed with all the natural bounties which one can think of. It has got a scenic location; it is surrounded by green hills with snow-capped peaks. The spectacular cool hills accompanied by the structures made during the colonial era create an aura which is very different from other hills. Some routes offer a greater variety of Shimla trees, shrubs, wildflower, and ferns. If you are lucky some bird species can also be sighted. Shimla, the “queen of the hills”, is a beautiful hill town in the lap of nature, surrounded by pine and deodar forests. Besides being the ultimate summer retreat it remains an ideal spot for adventure sports.
Shimla – Enjoy the delightful toy -train ride if you are traveling by train you can cover Kalka to Shimla via toy train. Hike or Trekk to the Jakhoo Temple.

Day 1: CHANDIGARH-SHIMLA (120 KMS APPROX 4 HRS)
On arrival at Chandigarh Railway Station/Airport, get picked and drive to Shimla, after a journey of 4 hrs reaches HILLS QUEEN SHIMLA. Check In the hotel refresh and relax for the day
Day 2: KUFRI AND SHIMLA CITY EXCURSION
Today Morning drive to KUFRI, India’s one of the best holiday paradise Kufri in Shimla is beautifully tucked on an altitude of 2,622 meters. The place is a tourist hotspot for its awesome scenic and sports activities. Evening free to stroll in the famous shopping plaza of Shimla town – “THE MALL & THE RIDGE” This large open space in the heart of town presents excellent views of the mountain ranges. Shimla’s landmarks – the neo- gothic structure of Christ Church and the neo – Tudor library building – are worth seeing. O/N in Hotel.
Day 3: SHIMLA TO MANALI VIA KULLU VALLEY (265 KMS approx 8-9 Hrs)
Today morning post breakfast leave for Manali, on the way sight-seeing like Sundernagar lake, Pandoh dam, Kullu Valley, Vaishno Devi Temple Kullu O/N Stay in Manali.
Day 4: MANALI -SOLANG-VALLEY-ROHTANG PASS if open( Cost not included in the package)
Enjoy the morning breakfast and later go for a full day excursion visiting Kothi Gorge and Gulabaand (Rohtang Pass), which is a scenic and picture location for nature view and gateway to Lahaul Valley. In the evening visit the Solang Valley. Later visit Vashisht Bath (Dedicated to Vashisht Muni & well known for its hot, religious and Curable water). Return back on time to the hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay in the Manali hotel.( in Winter Car will be going only up to the Snow point)
(*Please Note: Since the National Green Tribunal is allowing the only limited vehicle to Rohtang pass per day. Rohtang pass will on the subject to availability of permit from the SDM Office Manali on the spot with additional cost. )
Day 5: MANALI LOCAL
Today morning after Breakfast, sightseeing of places in and around Manali, visit Hadimba temple, Manu temple, Vashisht Bath, Van Vihar, Tibetan Monastery, The Club House and The Mall Road. O/N Hotel
Day 6: MANALI TO CHANDIGARH (302 Km)
After breakfast leave for Chandigarh via Kullu Valley Sundernagar, Pandoh Dam, drop at Chandigarh Airport/Railway Station.

Fishing: Fishing is available at Tattapani 46 km from Shimla. No fishing is allowed during the following seasons: 1st June to 31st July (General water) and 1st November to 31st January.
Skiing: skiing is possible at Narkanda and Kufri (January to March).
Golf: At Naldera, 23 km from beyond Shimla is one of the oldest courses in India.
Ice Skating: The Shimla ice skating ring has the largest open air with naturally frozen ice in this part of the world. Ice-skating normally begins in early December and carries on to February.
Cuisine:Punjabi Dhabas and Vaishnav Dhabas near the mall and lower bazaar having reasonable rates. Special dish of Shimla is Channa Madra (Chickpeas in gravy). In Manali, you can try Tudkiya Bhaat. Cooked like a vegetable pulao with lentils, tudkiya bhaat is a spicy rice dish. Besides Manee,Madeera , Pateer, Chouck, Bhagjery, and chutney of Til are famous in Himachal
Shopping:Handicrafts, woolen garments from Manu market, shawls from Khara bazaar, Kullu caps from Mall road, rugs and carpets from Gadan. Fruit juice and fruit jams, apples honey, silver jewelry, rare books, and etchings are also available in abundance. Contemporary Pahari miniature paintings. Metalware. Handmade footwear, wooden items like walking sticks from lakkar bazar. The Tibetan Market is famous for imported goods mainly electronics goods and fancy items
