Best Time to Visit Susunia

In winter, Susunia’s temperature ranges between 15-25 °Celsius. It is a great time to visit then. You can explore the local places and climb the hill without getting much tired. The temperature during the day is moderate but gets cold at night. Tourists can visit this place during summer, but it remains sweltering. Because of the red soil surrounding this area, and the poor road conditions caused by the monsoon, this place is more difficult to visit in the rainy season.

  1. I had been there on 6th, 7th March. The place is awesome, cottages are good and to satisfaction, quality of food and the staff are also good – no doubt. But, I am highly disappointed by the customer service there – no complaint about the staff but complaint is about managerial supervision; there was NO ONE. No system of checking identities – whether it’s me or someone in my place went and created unwanted mischieves can’t be ascertained. The number of staff is highly INADEQUATE – two heads looking after 33/34 guests having different requirements is injustice both to staff & guests. They were trying to do their best but there is a limitation. Lastly, the contact person Sri.Kinsuk Majumdar is of no use. I phoned him nos. of times to arrange for the car back to Bankura station but got no response; mobile network is poor there; instead of arranging the car he simply sent a contact number and washed his hand off. Due to poor network received the WA next morning when we reached the village area; by that time we frantically searched and arranged a car. Fortunately there was no female member else it would have been a harrowing experience. If money-making is the only intention of the promoter then it’s fine else Sri. Kinsuk has to correct himself…..
