Gorumara to Jaldapara Dooars Tour Package covering varied experiences from tea garden to river front wild hut

The Dooars is a pristine and lesser-explored destination in the northern part of Bengal. The thick forest canopy, fresh air, charming rivers, and glimpses of snowcaps of the mountain welcome you here. When you highly need a trip for a few days’ stay in the surrounding serene nature. Dooars tour package can be the best recommendation for you.

The name Dooars originates from “Duar’ or door, as it is the door to the Himalayan landscape and wildlife habitats. At the foothills of the mountain, Dooars boasts of a rich floral and faunal diversity. As there are several spots here that are less explored, and not crowded, unlike the nearby popular hill stations, it can be the perfect place for you if you are in search of peace and tranquility. Come here for a short trip and you will fall in love with the destination.

When you come to Dooars, the first thing that will welcome you are the picturesque tea gardens and hamlets surrounding it. Tea, timber, and tourism- the 3Ts of Dooars are what propel the economy here. You can go to majestic wildlife trails on safaris in the national parks, and enjoy some close encounters with the mighty wildlife. From the majestic elephant, rhinos, to the elusive members of the big cat family, or the birds with vibrant color, if you are love to take snaps of the wildlife, it is a dream destination for you. Also, there are major rivers like Murti, Jaldhaka, Teesta, Torsha, and many rivulets. You can enjoy the opportunity to partake in water sports like white water rafting if you are interested in adventure. Else, just relax here, soak in the natural beauty while you sip on the tea, and munch on the momos. The Dooars trip is assured to be a cherished memory in your mind.

Enjoy a few hours in the jungle, on the jeep ride. On extra payment/on availability, you can opt for an elephant safari too. Return to the property after the safari and have lunch. You have the afternoon free. So you can schedule your own plan and the property can arrange for cars. Or, take a toto on the riverbank, and enjoy the silence. Else, you can take a car and check out the sightseeing points near Alipurduar. Remember, these afternoon activities are not included in the package. So, you will have to pay extra for that on the property.

You have a scheduled Murti sightseeing on the way after you pass through the Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary. Murti river, before you enter Gorumara, has a large river bed, where people often get down to take photos with a nice background. Spend some time here, before you enter Lataguri and reach the destination for the day, the amazing Appu tea estate. As the name suggests, you will stay in an amazing tea estate, with an adjacent garden. In the afternoon, you can take a walk in the garden, and even check out the tea-making process in the local factories. If you have to buy gifts for your loved ones, nothing can be a better gift than tea leaves freshly produced from the garden!

These places are near the Bhutan border, and you can see the Hydral Power projects in the place, in the backdrop of an amazing landscape. Get down to the river, sit on the rocks and enjoy the cold breeze on your face, even in the scorching sun overhead. Also, do try the local momos in the shops here, which are freshly made and to die for! Spend some beautiful moments here before you return to the property and stay for the night.
